How much does CGS cost?
Some areas of CGS are free-of-charge and do not require a username or password. These currently include three example populations, as well as the "Create a Mutant Population" tool that allows students to create their own Drosophila population to investigate by selecting mutant alleles from a physical chromosome map.
Instructors who wish to create custom populations for their students will need to renew their account periodically to keep it active. In order for CGS to be maintained and developed, a fee is required in order to renew an instructor account. This fee can be paid online via credit card, or by sending a check by mail. All online payments are handled through the secure Google Checkout system (click here to renew your account online). If you would prefer to send a payment by mail, send an email to sales@cgslab.com to receive additional information. The renewal fee is based on the number of students who use the software per semester for your course:
