location: 2-0.3.

references: Stern and Bridges, 1926, Genetics 11: 511. Mohr, 1929, Z. Induktive Abstammungs-Vererbungslehre 50: 113-200 (fig.).
phenotype: Wings shorter, blunter, and broader, with crossveins uniformly very close together. Abdomen and legs chunky. Slight dominance of close crossveins. Strong interaction with d, fj, and cg; double homozygotes often have excessive growth of thoracic parts and sometimes conversion of one organ into another [e.g., twinning of wings or antennae or conversion of eyes into antennae, Waddington, 1943, J. Genet., 45: 44-50 (fig.)]. Tarsal shortening enhanced by homozygous ssa and ssaB (Villee, 1945, Genetics 30: 26-27). RK1.
cytology: Analysis by E.B. Lewis (1945, Genetics 30: 137-66) indicates that ds is located in 21D1-2 or possibly slightly to the left in the last band of 21C.
