phenotype: Sternopleural bristles increased in number. At l9oC wild type; at 25o overlaps wild type; at 28-30o no overlap. Apparently does not affect sternopleural bristles on metathoracic segment converted by bx to a mesothoracic segment (Waddington, 1939, Growth Suppl. 1 pp. 37-44). Homozygous lethal. RK2.

cytology: Placed in salivary chromosome region 27C1 to 28C1 (E. H. Grell).
