phenotype: Wing veins of heterozygote have plexus-like or deltalike thickenings, most often near posterior crossvein, and free fragments of veins, most often in third posterior cell; L4 bent near margin. Wings smaller and narrower than wild type and dusky textured. Closely resembles bs. Expression more extreme in female and enhanced by cold (l9oC). Homozygote lethal in egg stage (Li, 1927, Genetics 12: 1-58). RK1A.
cytology: Associated with Df(2R)Px = Df(2R)60B8-10;60D1-2. Locus placed in salivary chromosome region 60C6 through 60D1, on basis of the region of overlap of Df(2R)Px and Df(2R)Px2 = Df(2R)60C5-6;60D9-10 (Bridges, 1937).
